The Connect Calls application was developed for the purposes of integrating click-2-call functionality from a website. In our example, a user is logged into a portal and has access to a contact list. A number within that list is clicked and the StarPound model is invoked. The web application knows the user's phone number who is already logged in and begins by making that call. It then requires that the user pressed 1 (so we were not making outbound calls without the iniator being on hook).
